The Sect of the Ringing Hoof

Brief Summary: #

The Sect of the Ringing Hoof, a close ally of Gaian followers, asked for help in tracking down ancient Gaian tapestries that grant visions of the past, of famed hero Amandelphi and their companions. These visions had valuable information about the formation of the green and Gaia's involvement, allowing a group of modern spirelings to find her body and waken the Goddess. She was roused and empowered, reunited with her heart and her followers. Her time asleep allowed her to see that the Green, while destructive, could also be beneficial. Once known as the Silent Goddess, Gaia has returned to her place in the pantheon and is eager to work alongside her familiar, vessel, and her faithful, in this new, verdant world.

Run 1: #

The Festival of the Silent Goddess begins on the Spire of Viridian Serenity, aided by the sect of the Ringing Hoof. Spirelings take the ship now known (with help from Ferris Istrailis) as Piper's Flight under the command of Captain Brightwing to the Spire, and assist the owner of the Wooden Bowl, Perla Strongfoot, with setting up for the Gaian Festival. Perla's wife, Margot, lay upstairs in bed, sick with the Green's corruption. After Corvo, devoted of Aru, sees to Margot's comfort, the Spirelings rest for the night in the Wooden Bowl's tavern. In the morning, competitions were held with Cricket Summersong winning the Archery competition, Guido the Glorious winning the Durian Eating competition, and Raeravain Molatear winning the Stair Run competition.

At the monastery, Perla's sister Korba, gave Stroag the opportunity to have a moving vision of Gaia shortly after the arrival of the Green. The party sang 'The Song of Gaia' in front of ancient hero Amandelphi's enchanted tapestry and fell into a collective vision of a great fight against demons in the City of SummerBluff.

After some creative bartending, goat petting, singing, and seduction, the party of Spirelings spread the word that another ancient tapestry needs to be found, likely in the ruins of SummerBluff on the Spire of Tswalob.

Run 2 #

Spirelings find themselves again on Piper's Flight with Captain Brightwing, on the way to the Spire of Viridian Serenity to ask a few more questions about the tapestries of ancient hero Amandelphi. Gaian druid Miri Threll experienced the Scroll of Visitation, only offered to followers of Gaia, and started making mental connections to the Urushi's clan's ||| origin. After persuasion from the party's cleric, Benzinda Warfarin, the party met Margot as well, who had grown considerably weaker from her Green corruption. Recalling that there might be a way to remove levels of corruption back at Spireling Hall, the party convinces Margot to go and be treated, assisted by an acolyte of the Sect of the Ringing Hoof Sect. Unknown until much later, Margot was stopped along the way by members of an ancient secret order of Gaians who had developed a salt-bath method of assisting in the amelioration of the Green - but that story won't begin until Run 5.

Meanwhile Captain Brightwing and crew escorts the party to Tswalob (The Spire With A Lot Of Bugs) and SummerBluff, where NPC Jonathan assists in making an introduction to Nono, a penguin kenku who was raised by a family of beatles. Inside the ruins of SummerBluff only exist insects and bugs, and of course NoNo. NoNo schedules times and locations for the heroes to search for the tapestry, warning them away from the Green Ants who have been in a constant war with the Brown Ants for many, many, many generations. The party knows to look underground and offers to clear out the junk in the city, gaining formal approval from the Brown Ants to clear it away.

But before they are even able to descend under the city, they encounter the ghost of a child, Neesa, who perished in the demon attack witnessed in the vision of Run 1.

While cleaning out the tunnels and searching for the tapestry, the ghosts of Neesa's father (Johnni), vigilante and resistance leader mother (Clora), and best friend (Annabeth), along with the baker, Loaven, are also found.

Clora is the most combative and insistent of the ghosts and after failing to pierce the mental fortitude of Champion Pyros Warfarin, makes a bargain with Greenwatcher Kellam Babarossa to possess him until she can find her family again. Furan Warfarin assists Neesa's father as the family reunites and are laid to rest. Before she goes, Annabeth helps the party sew back together the shredded tapestry they were looking for. When 'The Song of Gaia' is sung the party is taken into vision of a reverse heist, where one of Amandelphi's enchanted tapestries is deposited into a secret vault at the bottom of a lake on the Spire of Memory.

Thiophena Warfarin embodies the ancient hero of Blaisebeau and easily escorts the group of famed adventurers through the traps and trials, swapping the tapestry with a perfect pearl in a move that won't be matched until Harrison Ford takes on the role of Indiana Jones. But now the location of another ancient scroll has been discovered, and it is up to a different group of Spirelings to track it down.
